Zarghoon Law College respects the privacy of its applicants, students, parents and visitors. This policy explains what personal information we collect through www.zlc.com.pk, why we collect it, who we share it with and how you can contact us about it. By using this website or submitting a form, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Who we are
Zarghoon Law College (“the College”, “we”, “us”) is a law college located at House #424-D, Samungli Housing Scheme, Quetta, Balochistan, Pakistan, and is affiliated with the University of Balochistan. The College is responsible for the personal information collected through this website.
2. Information we collect
We collect only the information needed to process admissions, run our courses and respond to you:
- Admission and enrollment forms: full name, father’s or guardian’s name, CNIC or B-Form number, date of birth, gender, marital status, religion, mobile, WhatsApp and email, domicile, permanent and mailing addresses, guardian details, academic qualifications and marks, HEC LAT roll number and marks, selected program, batch and class mode.
- Documents you upload: photograph, CNIC (front and back), domicile certificate, academic transcripts, LAT result card, affidavit and fee payment slip.
- Student portal account: your name, CNIC, email and a password, plus the admission, fee and class information linked to your account.
- Contact form: your name, email, subject and message.
- Technical information: like most websites, our server records basic request data such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for security and troubleshooting.
Please do not send us information we have not asked for, such as bank card details.
3. How we use your information
- To receive, check and process admission applications and course enrollments.
- To calculate merit and prepare merit lists (see section 4).
- To register admitted students with our affiliated university and to meet academic, examination and regulatory requirements.
- To run the student portal: notices, class timetables, fee status, study materials and your profile.
- To contact you about your application, enrollment, classes or fees by email, phone, SMS or WhatsApp.
- To answer questions sent through the contact form.
- To keep the website and our records secure and to prevent misuse or fraud.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
4. Merit lists and public information
Publishing merit lists is part of a fair and transparent admission process. When a merit list is published on this website, it shows each candidate’s name, father’s name, Matric, FSc/Intermediate and LAT marks, merit rank and selection status. It does not show CNIC numbers, contact details, addresses or uploaded documents.
If you believe your entry on a merit list is incorrect, contact the admissions office (section 12).
6. Browser storage and cookies
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. The website stores a small amount of information in your browser (local storage) so that it works properly, for example to keep you signed in to the student portal and to save unfinished forms on your device so you do not lose your work. You can remove this information at any time by signing out or clearing your browser data.
If we add website analytics in the future, we will update this policy to describe it.
7. How we protect your information
The website uses an encrypted HTTPS connection, and access to admission records is limited to authorized College staff with their own accounts. We continue to improve our security measures, but no website or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Please keep your student portal password private and sign out when using a shared computer. The College will never ask for your password by phone, SMS or WhatsApp.
8. How long we keep information
We keep admission and student records for as long as needed for your admission, studies and graduation, and afterwards as required for academic records, university and regulatory requirements. Contact form messages and applications that do not lead to admission are kept only as long as reasonably needed and are then deleted.
9. Your choices and rights
- Access: you can view much of your information in the student portal, or ask us for a copy.
- Correction: you can update your profile in the student portal, or ask the admissions office to correct your application.
- Deletion: you can ask us to delete your information. We will do so unless we must keep it for academic, legal or regulatory reasons.
- Messages: you can ask us to stop non-essential messages at any time.
To make a request, contact us using the details in section 12. We may need to confirm your identity first.
10. Applicants under 18
Some applicants for our courses may be under 18. We collect a parent’s or guardian’s details as part of the application, and we encourage parents and guardians to review applications made by applicants under 18.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it was last changed, and the current version is always available on this page.
