About this course
A 3-month course, on campus or online, for the Civil Judge-cum-Judicial Magistrate examinations held by the High Courts and Public Service Commissions. It is one course for all provinces: the core civil, criminal and constitutional law is the same, and the provincial local and special laws for Balochistan, Punjab, Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are covered in separate sessions.
The course prepares you for the screening test, the written papers and the interview, with model answers, judgment-writing practice and mock tests.

Requirements
LL.B and enrolment as an advocate. Practice experience and age limits are set by each High Court. Requirements differ by province and recruiting body; always check the official advertisement.

Orientation and diagnostic test: exam stages of the BHC, LHC, SHC and PHC, and a study plan
- Week2
Code of Civil Procedure I: jurisdiction, res judicata, institution of suits, pleadings and summons
- Week3
Code of Civil Procedure II: interim relief (Order XXXIX), appeals, revision, review and execution
- Week4
Contract Act, Specific Relief Act and Limitation Act
- Week5
Property and family laws: Transfer of Property Act, Muslim Family Laws Ordinance, Family Courts Act, Guardians and Wards Act
- Week6
Pakistan Penal Code: general exceptions, offences against the human body, Qisas and Diyat, offences against property
- Week7
Code of Criminal Procedure: FIR, investigation, bail, trial, judgment and appeals; mid-course mock test
- Week8
Qanun-e-Shahadat Order, 1984, and the Constitution: fundamental rights, the judiciary and Article 199
- Week9
Provincial local and special laws for Balochistan, Punjab, Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (rent, pre-emption, land revenue and others in each syllabus)
- Week10
English and Urdu: essay, précis, translation and comprehension; General Knowledge and current affairs
- Week11
Judgment and order writing: framing issues, civil judgment, criminal judgment and bail order
- Week12
Final revision: guess papers, a full mock (screening test and written paper) and a mock viva voce
